What is ACE Portfolios?
ACE Portfolios is a UK ePortfolio and assessment platform for NVQs, apprenticeships and vocational qualifications. It is built by a working assessor and IQA for training providers, colleges and employers.
Which awarding bodies and qualifications does ACE support?
ACE holds the full unit structure for more than 130 qualifications from Highfield, ProQual, NOCN, ECITB and City & Guilds, and new qualifications are added on request at no charge.
Can assessors and candidates use ACE on a phone?
Yes. Evidence can be captured on site from a phone, including photos, video and audio, and mapped to criteria there and then. Candidates see their own progress from their phone too.
Does ACE cover IQA and EQA?
Yes. IQAs get a sampling queue, a guided sampling wizard, actions and sign-offs with a full audit trail. EQAs get read-only access to claimed portfolios, EQA sessions and the same audit trail.
Can employers see their apprentices’ progress?
Yes. The optional employer portal gives an employer a read-only view of exactly the progress you choose to share.
Does ACE record observations and professional discussions?
Yes. The built-in recorder captures audio or video inside the portfolio and attaches it to the candidate, ready to map to criteria.
